§ 10.40.010. Parking meter zones established; hours of operation; parking fee.

The following City of San Clemente parking meter zones are hereby established to control the parking of vehicles with the aid of parking meters or other parking control devices (pay station) on certain City-owned property:

A.

North Beach parking meter zone.

1.

The following streets, portions of streets and off-street parking lots are included in the North Beach parking meter zone:

(a)

Boca de la Playa, both sides, from cul-de-sac to Calle Deshecha;

(b)

Calle Deshecha, south side, between Avenida Estacion and Avenida Pico, and both sides between Avenida Pico and Boca de la Playa;

(c)

Avenida Estacion, west side, from Calle Deshecha to the mobile home park entrance;

(d)

Avenida Estacion, both sides, from Calle Deshecha to its southern terminus;

(e)

Avenida Pico, both sides, between El Camino Real and Boca de la Playa; and

(f)

North Beach parking lot.

Hours of Operation:

(a)

On-street parking spaces — 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.;

(b)

Off-street parking lot — 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Parking fee:

(a)

Except as provided in subsections (b) and (c) below, twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each ten (10) minute period or one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each one (1) hour period; and

(b)

Designated commuter/recreational parking spaces in North Beach off-street parking lot: the parking meter fee for designated commuter/recreational parking spaces in the North Beach parking lot shall be one dollar ($1.00) per day, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, provided parking and payment occurs between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. In lieu of cash payment, use of the annual metered parking permit issued pursuant to Section 10.28.260 is honored in all parking spaces in the North Beach parking lot at all times. For purposes of this section, "designated commuter/recreational parking spaces" shall mean parking spaces numbered as five (5) through one hundred forty-seven (147).

(c)

Calle Deshecha, south side, between Avenida Estacion and Avenida Pico:

(i)

Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.: two (2) hours free parking, then twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each ten (10) minute period or one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each one (1) hour period.

(ii)

All other times: twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each ten (10) minute period or one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each one (1) hour period.

B.

Linda Lane Park parking meter zone.

1.

The following streets, portions of streets, and off street parking lots are included in the Linda Lane Park parking meter zone:

(a)

Linda Lane from Encino Lane to its terminus;

(b)

Via Mecha from West Marquita to Linda Lane; and

(c)

Linda Lane parking lot.

2.

Hours of Operation: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

3.

Parking fee: twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each ten (10) minute period of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each one (1) hour period.

C.

Pier Bowl Area parking meter zone.

1.

The following streets, portions of streets and off-street parking lots are included in the Pier Bowl Area parking meter zone:

(a)

Alameda Lane north, both sides, from Avenida Del Mar to Avenida Del Mar;

(b)

Avenida Del Mar, both sides, from Avenida Granada to the northwest terminus of Avenida Victoria;

(c)

Avenida Victoria, from its northwesterly terminus to 519 Avenida Victoria on the south side, and 514 Avenida Victoria on the north side;

(d)

Lower Pier Bowl parking lot; and

(e)

Upper Pier Bowl parking lot.

2.

Hours of Operation: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

3.

Parking fee: twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each ten (10) minute period or one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each one (1) hour period.

D.

T-Street parking meter zone.

1.

The following streets and portions of streets are included in the T-Street parking meter zone:

(a)

West Paseo de Cristobal, southwest side, from 354 West Paseo de Cristobal at the northwesterly curve of the cul-de-sac, southerly, to the first residential lot at 333 West Paseo de Cristobal.

2.

Hours of Operation: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

3.

Parking fee: twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each ten (10) minute period or one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each one (1) hour period.

E.

Calafia parking meter zone.

1.

The following streets and portions of streets are included in the Calafia parking meter zone:

(a)

Avenida Calafia, both sides, from approximately 65 feet west of the driveway at 210 Avenida Calafia, westerly to the Calafia Beach parking entrance.

(b)

Hours of Operation: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

(c)

Fee: twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each ten (10) minute period or one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each one (1) hour period.

F.

Camino Capistrano parking meter zone.

1.

The following streets are included in the Camino Capistrano parking meter zone:

(a)

Camino Capistrano, both sides, from El Camino Real to Avenida Vaquero.

2.

Hours of Operation: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

3.

Fee: twenty-five cents ($0.25) for each ten (10) minute period or one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each one (1) hour period.
